ASUENE Inc., through its overseas subsidiary ASUENE APAC Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, has entered into a global partnership agreement with the World Football Summit (WFS), one of the world’s largest international conferences for the football industry.
At the Hong Kong event held on September 3-4, ASUENE served as a global sustainability partner and conducted pre- and post-event GHG accounting.
Background of the Partnership Agreement
As the need to address climate change grows, the sports event industry is also undergoing a shift toward more sustainable operations, beginning with greater transparency through GHG measurement. In the global football industry in particular, which draws significant international attention, clubs and leagues are accelerating efforts to strengthen their sustainability strategies.
At WFS, sustainability is positioned as a core principle, with initiatives such as introducing greener operational practices, reducing the carbon footprint, and promoting the use of recycled resources to minimize environmental impact and preserve the stage of football for future generations.
Against this backdrop, at the Hong Kong Summit on September 3-4, ASUENE — which operates Asia’s No.1 carbon accounting platform — conducted pre- and post-event GHG emission. Through this partnership, ASUENE aims to leverage its expertise and technology to contribute to more sustainable event management and to further advance sustainability across the global sports industry.
Partnership Initiatives
Through this partnership, ASUENE carried out the following initiatives at the Hong Kong Summit in September.
・Pre- and post-event GHG accounting
