ASUENE Inc. has been appointed as the Global Sustainability Partner of World Football Summit, a leading international organization that connects and empowers the global football industry through world-class events, expert content, and purpose-driven initiatives that shape a more sustainable and inclusive game. Building on its role at the Hong Kong summit in September, ASUENE will continue to support sustainable event operations at upcoming editions in Madrid this October, Riyadh in December, and Mexico in 2026, further accelerating decarbonization across the global sports industry.
Background of the Global Partnership Across Four Global Events
As the urgency to address climate change grows, the sports industry is increasingly working to measure GHG emissions from events and develop data-driven reduction strategies. In the football sector, efforts to strengthen sustainability policies are no longer limited to clubs and leagues; there is now a strong demand to minimize environmental impact in international tournaments and business conferences as well.
Amid this shift, ASUENE, which operates Asia’s leading carbon accounting platform, conducted pre- and post-event GHG emissions assessments for World Football Summit in Hong Kong in September 2025. The analysis revealed that international travel accounted for the majority of total emissions, and ASUENE’s recommendations, such as reconsidering event locations and optimizing travel logistics, were highly praised by organizers.
Building on these results, ASUENE has been appointed the official Global Sustainability Partner of World Football Summit, extending its collaboration beyond Hong Kong to the upcoming events in Madrid (October), Riyadh (December), and Mexico (2026). Leveraging its all in one expertise from carbon accounting to reduction strategies and consulting, ASUENE will continue to advance the global decarbonization of the sports industry.
Partnership Initiatives at Madrid
Through this partnership, ASUENE implemented the following initiatives at World Football Summit in Madrid in October:

・Hosted an interactive workshop, “The Next Play: A Practical Workshop on Decarbonising Football,” where participants explored practical GHG reduction strategies
