– Launch of SOL marks Astaka’s transformation into a HealthTech company
– Group targets Singapore, Malaysia markets and future expansion across Asia
SINGAPORE, 8 October 2026 — Astaka Holdings Limited (the “Group” or “Astaka Holdings”) announced the launch of SOL, a HealthTech brand focused on creating cleaner and healthier indoor environments through light-activated nanotechnology, amid growing demand for indoor air quality solutions across Asia on Tuesday. The launch of SOL marks the Group’s transformation into a HealthTech company, following the disposal of its property development business comprising Astaka Padu Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries, on 3 September 2026.
By integrating HealthTech into everyday indoor lighting infrastructure, SOL aims to create more hygienic environments. On Tuesday, SOL official launch of its first product, billed as “The World’s First Active Protection Light,” part of a broader range of products that cater to the consumer market, including households with children, the elderly and pets, as well as those concerned about mould and indoor odours. An upcoming range of products will address the needs of industries and sectors where indoor environmental quality is a priority, including healthcare, food processing, MRT stations and other public transport facilities, offices, schools and other shared indoor spaces.
Developed in close collaboration with Johor-based Evergrown Holdings Berhad, an established manufacturer of HealthTech light products developed using in-house technology, SOL will launch first in Malaysia and Singapore, with the Group planning future expansion across seven additional markets including China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and India, subject to market readiness and applicable requirements.
Allen Khong, Chief Executive Officer of Astaka Holdings Limited, said:
“We are excited to announce the launch of SOL, a Singapore HealthTech brand focused on creating cleaner, fresher indoor environments and a healthier future for everyone.
SOL delivers transformational HealthTech solutions that are effective and energy-efficient, while taking up zero floor space. This new business will enable us to capitalise on growing demand for indoor environmental HealthTech and air quality solutions in Singapore and across Asia, driven by concerns over allergens, haze, cooking emissions, and the significant amount of time people spend indoors.
Foundational to this venture is our collaboration with Evergrown Group (defined herein), which has a strong track record in research and development (“R&D”), innovation and advanced manufacturing. As we have secured the first right to market and sell new products developed by Evergrown Group, this unlocks a valuable pipeline of future business opportunities in additional markets.
We have started accepting registrations of interest on SOL’s official website today, and the first SOL shipments are expected in November 2026. Our plan is to launch first in Singapore and Malaysia, and within three years, we plan to expand into seven additional markets across Asia.
For Astaka Holdings, the launch of SOL represents a new beginning for the Group. We are starting with one technology platform and one brand, but our ambition is to build a scalable HealthTech business that can grow beyond our home market of Singapore. If we execute well, we believe SOL can become an important new growth engine for Astaka Holdings and help place the Group on a sustainable pathway towards profitability.”
Nelson Lim, CEO of Evergrown Holdings Berhad, said:
“Over the past two years, we have seen growing demand for our technology across various markets, with our products currently in use at 11 hospitals and 20 public schools in Malaysia. Through our collaboration with Astaka Holdings and SOL, we hope to make the technology more accessible and help more people improve the spaces in which they live, work and learn.”
On February 26, 2026, Astaka Holdings announced its plans to venture into the HealthTech sector, which it had identified as a potential future growth driver for the Group. As part of this strategy, Astaka Holdings signed an exclusive agreement (“Exclusive Agreement”) with a subsidiary of Johor-based Evergrown Holdings Berhad (collectively, the “Evergrown Group”), a manufacturer of “healthtech light” products that use sterilization lighting technology to enhance health by creating more hygienic and secure environments, to manufacture and supply Sterilisation LED electrical equipment to the Group in Singapore.
Following this, on October 2, 2026, Astaka Holdings and Evergrown Group entered into a Novation and Supplemental Agreement, widening the scope of their collaboration. The Novation and Supplemental Agreement expanded the geographical and product scope of the Exclusive Agreement entered into on 26 February 2026, granting its wholly owned subsidiary, SOL Tech (S) Pte. Ltd (“SOL Tech”) worldwide marketing, sale and distribution rights for a broader range of electrical equipment, along with the first right to market and sell new products developed by Evergrown Group. As a result, the Group now has access to Evergrown’s R&D and innovation-driven product development pipeline, unlocking greater flexibility to diversify its product offerings, pursue business opportunities in additional markets, and broaden its customer base.
Through its in-house R&D efforts, Evergrown Group has developed various HealthTech solutions to create healthier and safer environments, including light-activated nanotechnology and full spectrum light technology. With a range of products used mainly in commercial and industrial applications, Evergrown Group’s customers include most well-known hospital chains, world-renowned food and beverage brands and manufacturers, as well as major government institutions in Malaysia.
