The collaboration, under the project titled “Giving Hope a Chance – A Partnership for the Filipino Children and Youth”, has already produced significant outcomes, particularly in education and youth development. IUX’s grant has provided critical resources such as school supplies, tutorial support, and essential academic materials, directly benefiting children residing in SOS family houses.

Children like Katarina from the Oiestien family house, who dreams of becoming a teacher, and Jared from the Sebjourn family house, who aspires to be an architect, are flourishing thanks to the sustained educational support. Their academic progress, alongside their siblings and peers, is a testament to the power of collective action. “I love learning and helping my siblings with their homework. My dream is to become a teacher and help others learn,” Katarina shared, reflecting the transformative potential of the initiative.

Beyond education, IUX’s donation has fueled key developmental activities. During National Children’s Month 2024, SOS Children’s Village Calbayog hosted an array of enriching programs promoting child protection, health awareness, and personal growth.

IUX’s contribution also bolstered career development for the Family Strengthening Program (FSP) STEAM students through specialized training on resume writing, career mapping, and interview preparation. Additionally, financial literacy sessions have equipped senior high school and college students with essential money management skills, reinforcing IUX’s mission to empower youth with tools for long-term success.
