Jakarta, Indonesia, July 16, 2026 – The Center for Strategy Policy on Regional, Population, and Public Services under the Internal Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia successfully held a Topical Discussion Forum (FDA) at the Horison Hotel, Menteng, Central Jakarta. This strategic discussion raised the theme “Strengthening the Role of Local Governments in the Follow-up of Free Health Checks”, a concrete step to ensure that the results of Indonesia’s national mass health screening can be fully and sustainably addressed at the regional level.
The Head of the Center for Strategy Policy on Regional, Population, and Public Services, Dr. TR. Fahsul Falah, S.Sos, M.Si, emphasized that the Indonesian Free Health Check Program (CKG) must not stop at the examination and early detection stage alone. This forum was specifically designed to formulate strong policy recommendations so that local governments across Indonesia can build solid service connectivity from primary facilities to referral services.
“The massive finding of health risk cases from the CKG program requires a service system that guarantees continuity of care. The role of local governments and the optimization of Regional Public Hospitals (RSUD) are the main keys for the community to receive fast, precise, and effective medical treatment,” said Dr. TR. Fahsul Falah, S.Sos, M.Si.
Not only from a government bureaucracy perspective, this forum also enriched viewpoints through a macro trend analysis delivered by the CEO of VRITIMES, Ferry Bayu Nirwono T.. He broke down the analysis of potential public response toward the implementation of the free health program, as well as the latest developments in the healthcare industry that can be synergized with Indonesian local government policies.
In addition to these presentations, this event also brought together a lineup of expert speakers from various cross-sectoral institutions and local governments in Indonesia to provide comprehensive insights regarding governance, fiscal policy, and tactical implementation in the field. The speakers who attended and shared their perspectives in this forum were:
– Mr. H. Achmad Afzan Arslan Djunaid, S.E., M.M. – Mayor of Pekalongan, Indonesia.
– Mr. Dr. Abdul Harris Bobihoe, M.Si. – Vice Mayor of Bekasi, Indonesia.
– Mrs. dr. Elvieda Sariwati, M.Epid – Director of Primary Healthcare Services Governance, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

These outputs will be submitted as input for the central and local governments to realize integrated, effective, and sustainable healthcare services for the entire community in Indonesia.
